In short

The short version first.

Each part of this page starts with a short summary in plain words. The full detail follows. You only need to read the detail if you want to.

Who this is for

SensoryShore is for adults aged 18 and over who want to understand themselves better, especially while waiting for an autism assessment. It is not for diagnosis or emergency care.

What it costs

SensoryShore is free. If we can keep it that way, we will. Your account does not ask for payment details.

Important boundary

Using SensoryShore does not make us your doctor or health professional. It does not replace advice from a qualified health professional.

Eligibility and intended use

In short: this service is for adults and is designed to support self-understanding, not to diagnose a condition.

  • You should only use SensoryShore if you are 18 or over and able to agree to these terms.
  • SensoryShore is for adults who are autistic, or who think they may be autistic, especially while they wait for an autism assessment.
  • SensoryShore is not a diagnostic tool and does not diagnose autism or any other condition. It is not a medical or emergency service.

Accounts and access

In short: keep your access details secure and use the service honestly.

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide to set up or maintain your access.
  • You must not try to interfere with the website or misuse accounts. You must not use automated tools to copy data from the website, or try to get around its security.
  • We may suspend or limit access if someone misuses the website, tries to break into accounts, or commits fraud.
  • Your answers to the questionnaire, including your check-in answers (a check-in is a short question, asked three times during the questionnaire, about how you are feeling), never limit your account.

Cost

In short: SensoryShore is free to use. If we can keep it that way, we will.

  • Everything you can use on SensoryShore today is free.
  • This includes the questionnaire, your results, your downloadable report, and a letter for your GP (general practitioner, your family doctor).
  • You do not need to give payment details to create an account.
  • If the cost of SensoryShore ever changes, we will say so on this website first. Results you already have will stay available to you.

Service boundaries

In short: we will describe SensoryShore clearly. We cannot promise any health result, or that the website will always be available.

  • SensoryShore may change over time as features are improved, delayed, or withdrawn.
  • CalmCompanion is an AI (artificial intelligence) companion: a computer program you write messages to, and it writes back. It is in development and not yet available. Pulse, a planned phone app, is not available yet. We cannot give a date for either.
  • We may interrupt or limit access for maintenance, safety review, or abuse prevention.
  • Nothing in these terms should be read as a promise of diagnosis, treatment, or crisis care.

Our legal responsibility, and professional advice

In short: use SensoryShore to help you understand yourself. Do not use it in place of health professionals, emergency services, or urgent help to keep someone safe.

  • You remain responsible for decisions you make based on information provided by the service.
  • Always seek qualified healthcare or emergency help where needed.
  • Nothing in these terms removes our legal responsibility where the law says it cannot be removed.
