How we are trying to make SensoryShore clearer, calmer, and easier to use.

In short

The short version first.

Each part of this page starts with a short summary in plain words. The full detail follows. You only need to read the detail if you want to.

Current aim

Clear page layouts, plenty of space, menus that work the same way on every page, and nothing that rushes or pressures you.

Known limits

Some pages may still need more testing on mobile phones, with a keyboard only, and with assistive technology. Assistive technology means tools such as screen readers, which read a page aloud.

How to report

Email hey@sensoryshore.com if something is difficult to use and tell us what blocked you.

What we are aiming for

In short: we want the site to feel clear rather than noisy, and structured rather than overwhelming.

  • Large headings, lines of text that are not too long, and content split into separate boxes.
  • Plain language where possible, especially about trust, privacy, and what SensoryShore does and does not do.
  • Menus and links that work the same way on every page, so the next step is easy to find.

Known limitations

In short: some issues may still exist and we would rather say that clearly than imply the work is finished.

  • We have not yet fully checked every part of the website with every kind of assistive technology.
  • Some interactive parts, such as buttons and forms, may still need improving.
  • When we change how the website looks, spacing or contrast can sometimes go wrong until we fix it. Contrast means how easy text is to see against its background.

How to tell us about a problem

In short: if something is hard to access, tell us exactly where it happened and what would have helped.

  • Email hey@sensoryshore.com with the page, device, browser, and issue you hit.
  • If you know the change that would have helped, include that too.
  • We will use those reports to improve future updates.
